Business Listing Rules
Last updated: May 2026
TripTock is a directory platform. These rules apply to anyone adding, claiming or managing a business listing.
1. Accurate Information
- Listings must describe a real, trading business.
- Names, addresses, opening hours and contact details must be correct.
- Do not list businesses you do not own or represent without permission.
2. Image & Content Rights
- You must own — or have written permission to use — every image and any text you upload.
- No stock photos passed off as your own venue, no AI-generated business photos, no logos you do not have rights to.
- By uploading content you grant TripTock a non-exclusive licence to display it in the directory and in related promotion of your listing.
3. Prohibited Content
- Illegal services or products.
- Misleading claims (fake awards, fake reviews, fake "verified" status).
- Spam, duplicate listings, or keyword stuffing.
- Adult content, hate speech, harassment.
4. Verified & Claimed Listings
A claimed or "verified" badge confirms the listing has been claimed by someone presenting themselves as the owner. It does notguarantee quality, legality, licensing, insurance, or fitness for any particular purpose. Visitors must always check directly with the business.
5. Featured / Promoted Listings
Featured placements buy visibility only. We do not guarantee customers, calls, bookings, clicks, sales, or income. Results depend on your own offering, photos, pricing and how visitors respond.
6. Moderation
TripTock may review, edit, hide, unpublish or delete any listing at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these rules, suspected fraud, copyright complaints, or quality reasons.
7. Your Responsibility
The business owner is solely responsible for all content on their listing, for keeping it up to date, and for the goods or services they provide to customers. TripTock is not a party to any transaction between you and a customer.
