Flood & wind checks

Use official information before travelling or staying at a coastal caravan site. TripTock does not assign a flood-risk grade to an individual caravan or claim that a pitch is safe in particular weather.

Flood checks

The Environment Agency advises caravan and holiday park operators to check flood risk, prepare for flooding and keep site users informed. Visitors can use the same official services to check conditions before a stay.

The long-term service describes area-level risk and does not tell you whether an individual caravan or property will flood. Check the precise site/postcode and speak to the park when you need site-specific information.

Wind & weather checks

The Met Office forecast shows wind speed, direction, gusts and rain. Use the forecast and official warnings before towing and before putting up or leaving out an awning.

Do not use TripTock as a towing or awning-safety authority. Follow the caravan/awning manufacturer's limits, your park's instructions and official weather warnings.
