Lincolnshire Coast Gears Up For Huge Month Of Entertainment As 2026 Holiday Season Bursts Into Life

Published 1 May 2026 · Updated weekly

The Lincolnshire Coast is roaring back into life this May with one of the biggest line-ups of live music, tribute nights, family entertainment and seaside events the region has seen in years. From the bright lights of Skegness to the holiday-park heartland of Ingoldmells, and on through Chapel St Leonards, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and Cleethorpes, every town on the coast has something happening — and the season has only just begun.

Operators report the strongest May bookings since 2019, with caravan parks at near-capacity most weekends, seafront pubs adding extra entertainment nights, and theatres returning tribute acts that sold out throughout 2025. TripTock's editorial team has pulled together the full picture, town by town, to help visitors and locals plan a brilliant month out.

Skegness — Tribute Nights & Coastal Live Music

Skegness leads the way this month with a packed entertainment calendar across the seafront, Roman Bank and the Lumley Road area. The Embassy Theatre hosts a run of high-profile tribute acts, while The Suncastle brings back its hugely popular Northern Soul weekenders that draw crowds from across the Midlands and the North.

Local pubs including The Vine, The Ship, Captain Jack's and the bars along the seafront are running live bands every Friday and Saturday — and several venues have added midweek entertainment to cope with the boom. Karaoke nights are back at multiple venues, with weekday family-friendly sessions during half-term week.

Ingoldmells — Cabaret, Showbars & Holiday-Park Buzz

Ingoldmells is firing on all cylinders. Fantasy Island reopens its full ride line-up alongside its bumper Bazaar market, while Cheers Bar, Captain Jack's and the big-name showbars run cabaret, tribute and family entertainment most nights of the week. Holiday-park guests can expect resident acts at Coastfields, Golden Palm and the Skegness Sands chain — plus open-to-public bingo, karaoke and themed party nights.

Chapel St Leonards — Live Rock Weekends & Late Karaoke

Quieter than its bigger neighbours but every bit as lively after dark, Chapel keeps its entertainment crown thanks to Club Tropicana's rock and tribute weekends and JW's Bar & Grill's late-night karaoke. The Promenade pubs are running Sunday roasts with acoustic acts, and the village hall has a steady run of bingo and craft fairs through the month.

Mablethorpe & Sutton-on-Sea — Family Entertainment Capital

Mablethorpe is the family stronghold of the coast this May. Golden Sands runs its full holiday-park entertainment programme — kids' clubs, evening cabaret, themed discos — and is open to day visitors as well as residents. The Bacchus hosts the ever-popular Wednesday quiz, while The Enterprise and several Sutton-on-Sea seafront pubs run Saturday-night discos and acoustic sessions.

Cleethorpes — Festivals, Live Music & Seafront Strolls

Up the coast in Cleethorpes, the resort is gearing up for its busiest summer build-up in years. Docks Academy has a packed gig calendar, the seafront bars run live acoustic acts most weekends, and the Pier and Promenade play host to the start of the outdoor-event season — markets, classic-car meets and family fun days.

Why The 2026 Season Feels Different

Three things are powering this year's surge: a confident return to coast holidays after several wet summers, a wave of newly-refurbished venues coming back online, and a sharp rise in independent operators investing in live entertainment to compete with the big holiday parks. The result is more choice for visitors than at any point in the past decade — and a coast-wide gig calendar that's only going to get busier through June and July.
